The term bishojo literally translates to “pretty girl,” and refers to media where female characters feature prominently. In Bishojo Battlefield, you take charge of these sightly ladies and lead them across different battlefields. The visuals are in full 3D, with a lot of concepts thrown in. There are period pieces where you hack and slash your way or modern battlefields where you maneuver tanks and helicopters–for a varied action experience.

Also, there are a lot of game modes to enjoy. It even offers a sandbox experience where you can set up your own scenarios and play alone or with other players. In doing so, you get to choose the number and type of characters involved, as well as the weapon. This game includes a lot of weapons from different time periods, leaving you to experiment with a lot of possibilities.

As mentioned, the main challenge in this game is that it only comes in Mandarin, which is a challenge for non-native speakers. There’s no option to switch languages as well, although most of the features and buttons are intuitive. Another concern with the game is that it always requires an internet connection, even when you intend to play alone. An offline mode would definitely be a great help.
